Paul K. Herring, age 90, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away peacefully on September 10, 2022 with family by his side. Paul was born in Chicago on May 17, 1932.  He was deeply loved by his parents Marie E. (Vesey) Herring and Dr. Richard S. Herring. Paul graduated from Leo High School in 1951, attended Loyola University in Chicago and then further studied to become a licensed electrician and proud member of IBEW Local 134.

Paul and his family moved from Chicago to Palos Heights, IL in 1968.  During his years in Illinois, Paul enjoyed camping with his family and friends, and weekends fishing in Michigan. In 1980, Paul and his family moved to Scottsdale, AZ where he lived happily until his passing.

As an active member of IBEW Local 134, Paul continued his career as an electrician for 40 years, retiring in 1994. After retirement Paul loved spending time with his family, friends and precious dog Lukie. He enjoyed relaxing in Pinetop, AZ and traveling to California, Hawaii and Alaska. Paul was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Scottsdale and also served as President of the Pima Vista Homeowners Association.

Paul will be lovingly remembered by his five daughters, Lynn Herring, Donna (Joe) Rehm, Karen (Clyde) Hughes, Lori (Jim) Schubert, and Mary Ann (Jed) Brunst, fourteen grandchildren, Eric Rehm, Stephanie (Chris) Eibl, Kristen (Tim) Andretich, Kyle Hughes, Adam Schubert, Alex (Delainey) Schubert, Michael Schubert, Matthew Schubert, Mike (Stephani) Brunst, Matt Brunst, Kate Brunst, Kelley Brunst, Scott Brunst, and Sarah Brunst, ten great grandchildren, Ellie Eibl, Rhys Eibl, Mason Andretich, Max Andretich, Malakai Schubert, Quinn Schubert, Jonathan Brunst, Mitchell Brunst, Piper Ashford, and Dean Schroeder, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul will always be remembered for his comical and corny jokes. But more seriously, Paul had said that the most cherished times of his life were with his grandchildren, daughters and sons-in-laws, and with Barbara, “The love of his life.”
