Paul Hester, a beloved Atlanta theater artist, suddenly passed on the morning of July 6, 2021, at the age of 41, after a fatal car accident in Marietta, Ga. Paul is survived by his wife, Sarah Beth; his mother and father, Bernard and Nancy; his older siblings, Lisa and Brian; his nephews and nieces, Joe, Drew, Courtney, Megan, and Braedon; and his adored fur-children, Frank and Yoshi. Paul was born in Minnesota, and at an early age developed his skills in Karate, achieving national championship titles. He discovered his passion for acting on the stage at Farragut High School in Knoxville, Tennessee, and went on to study the craft at Wright State University, before finally making his home in Atlanta. Paul leaves behind a legacy in his theater community, spending most of his career devoted to the text of William Shakespeare with the Atlanta Shakespeare Company. He graced many different theaters and was known for his keen wit and humor, sharp diction, and powerful stage presence. Paul was an outstanding stage combatant, skilled DJ, aspiring guitarist, and avid video game expert. He was a devoted husband, loving son, caring brother, kind friend, and so much more. Paul is so loved by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
