“Tall Paul” Glynn was born on August 12, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Thomas Glynn and Dorothy Bilger Glynn. He is survived by his devoted wife Brigitte, Sister, Dorothy Pepe (John), Brother, Thomas Glynn, Son, Sean (Brandi), Granddaughter, Emily, and by many loving family members and friends.

Paul spent the first 12 years of his life in South Philly and still has many lifelong friends from his years at St Richard’s School and Carlisle Street. Like any good South Philadelphian, Paul was a huge Mummers fan. Even after moving to Florida, he would watch the parade every New Year’s Day and make a giant pot of the best bean soup you ever tasted.

In 1973, his family moved to The Villas, NJ, where he spent the next 41 years making his life and career. He worked for the County of Cape May and The City of Sea Isle City for 25 years. He also volunteered as an EMT for the Sea Isle Ambulance Corp for 10 of those years.

In 2014, he happily retired to South Florida. For the next 7 years, he lived a life of leisure. His days were spent by the pool, smoking meats on the BBQ, smoking cigars, and sipping some brandy. Of course, there was always music playing. His favorite band was The Ramones, he saw them in concert 36 times.

In South Philly, South Jersey, and South Florida, Paul was a friend to everyone. His zest for life was evident in all he accomplished. He touched so many people’s lives just by being himself. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
