On March 25, 2017, Paul James Crook, Sr., passed peacefully at his home, the place of his birth, at the age of 82. Paul was born on May 18, 1934, in South Baltimore, to the late Catherine E. and Paul Crook. He worked 42 years with the B&O, Chessie, and CSX Railroads. He was a member of the Optimist Club of Baltimore, coach with the South Baltimore Little League, and he ran for office in the City Council and House of Delegates during the 1970’s. He loved animals, going to the beach, cheering on the Ravens and Orioles, and watching little league. But most of all, he loved his family.
Paul was predeceased by his devoted wife, Teresa L. Crook (nee Tolson). He is survived by his loving children, Catherine T. O’Brien and her husband Richard, and Paul J. Crook Jr., and his wife Mary; his cherished grandchildren, Contessa L. Melton and her fiancé Joseph E. Clark Sr., George P. Melton (Paul’s caregiver), Tristian N. Crook, Regina A. O’Brien, Amanda M. Nowland, Robert F. Nowland Jr., and Nicole E. Nowland; his beloved great-grandchildren, Joseph E. Clark Jr. and Logan E. Clark. Paul is also survived by his dear, faithful companions, Meatsie and Jane.
