Paul Sheedy, 83, of Ottawa, passed away September 14, 2011 at the LaSalle County Nursing Home surrounded by his family.
Paul was born March 7, 1928 in Ottawa to William J. and Edna (Donelson) Sheedy. He was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School and received a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Notre Dame in 1950. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He married Margaret Ryan on February 6, 1954 at St. Patricks Church in Ottawa.
She passed away on March 4, 2006. He was a member of St. Patricks Church in Ottawa. He was an Executive Vice President of Clark Oil & Refining and later became Area President of Huffington Oil Company.
He is survived by his six children, Paula (Joseph) Lampen of St. Louis, MO. Sarah (Glen) Tate of Houston, Texas, Roberta Vasquez of Orlando, Florida, Mark (Susan) Sheedy of Oak Lawn, Kieran Sheedy of Houston, Texas, Patrick (Karen) Sheedy and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; one brother, Earl Sheedy and one sister, Virginia Miller.
