Paul J. Kocher, 81, of Vincennes, passed away Thursday May 30, 2013 at his residence. He was born October 23, 1931 in Vincennes the son of Albert J. & Rose A. Steimel Kocher. He was a 1950 graduate of Lincoln High School, and on June 30, 1951, He married Mary E. Kelso and they made their lives together for nearly 59 years until her death in 2010.
He was a Draftsman for Vincennes Steel his entire career until his retirement in 1997. He held memberships at St. John Catholic Church, lifetime member of the K of C and Harmony Society. He was a farmer at heart and he enjoyed gardening, his family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and his dog, Boomer.
He is survived by his children, Jo E. Kocher of Vincennes, IN, Doug Kocher, and his wife Jhan of Vincennes and Paula Rupprecht, and her husband Mike of Vincennes. His grandchildren, Nicholas P. Kocher, and his wife Julie, Travis Rupprecht, and his wife Jennifer, Julia Stevenson, and her husband Daniel, Jared Rupprecht, and his wife Ashley, Mallory Crowley, and her husband Nick and Nathan Rupprecht. His great grandchildren, Gavin Kocher, Sydney Kocher, Anna Stevenson, Carter Stevenson, Tessa Rupprecht, Camden Crowley, Joscelyn Crowley & Tyler Rupprecht.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his parents and a sister in infancy.
