Paul J. Cote, 96, of Milford, formerly of Upton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at home. He was the husband of the late Germaine (Lemarier) Cote.
Born in Manchester, NH, he was the son of the late Emile and Marie Ange (Leclerc) Cote and was educated in Manchester schools.
During WW II he served with the United States Army.
Paul was a career musician with the 39th Army Band for over 30 years prior to his retirement.
He was affectionately called Papa Cote and was often seen sitting on the corner of Ivy Lane waving and smiling to all who passed by his spot on Cote’s corner.
Paul is survived by three children, Carol Flanagan and her husband, Timothy, of Milford, Raymond Cote and his wife, Luz, of Ft. Worth, TX and William Cote and his wife, Elizabeth, of St. Augustine, FL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren
