Paul H. Magnuson, 80, of Pekin, IL passed away at 10:21 am on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria. He was born on March 1, 1935 in Hallock, MN to George and Pearl (Hallet) Magnuson. He married Roberta Johnson on April 6, 1962 in Rock Island, IL. She preceded him in death on December 21, 1984 in Peoria. He then married Mae (Samms) Brecklin on February 14, 1993 in Las Vegas. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters Cynthia (Mike) Cooper of Mapleton and Rose (Mike) Marsh of Lebanon, MO; two step-sons Dan (Susan) Brecklin of Florida and Jack (Lisa) Brecklin of East Peoria; nine grandchildren Everett (Tammy) Cooper, Matthew Cooper, Jason Ellis, Jacob Ellis, Dustin (Stephanie) Brecklin, Adam (Jill) Brecklin, Nate Brecklin, Kalie Brecklin and Beau Brecklin; four great-grandchildren Keaden, Paige, Austin and Avery Brecklin; and two brothers George (Ardelle) Magnuson of Shakepee, MN and Dan (Judy) Magnuson of Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his two sisters Betty Ann England and Beverly Nelson.
Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
