Paul Solomon Fischer, born on April 2, 1930, passed away on February 21, 2012 in Rocklin, California after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease. Paul, the youngest son of six children (including Marie (Reno), Kathleen (Sister Louise Marie), Dorothy (Case), Virginia (Haley), and Carl), was born in Oxnard to Carl W. Fischer and Louise C. Fischer (nee Gisler). The Gislers are pioneers of the Ventura County area arriving here from Switzerland in the mid-19th century.
Paul attended Santa Clara Elementary School and graduated from Santa Clara High School in 1948.
