Paul Eugene Jones, Jr., 84 passed away January 17, 2013 in Canon City, CO. He was born March 9, 1928, in Somerton, Arizona to Alma M. (Schryver) and Paul E. Jones, Sr. After graduation from high school, Paul enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served during WWII. After his discharge, Paul attended the University of Arizona. In 1952, Paul enlisted with the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He retired in 1970 as a decorated retired Master Sergeant. Paul was a member of the V.F.W. in Canon City, the Disabled American Veterans, the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Elks B.P.O.E. 316 in Cripple Creek, and the Retired Enlisted Association. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of Canon City; children, William J. Jones, Cathy Ann Schofield, and Paul E. Jones; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Betty Jeanne Ginn.
