Paul Edward (P.D.) Davis passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Hospice House of Bloomington.
He was born on August 30, 1926 to John and Minerva Davis of Bloomington, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie S. Davis, Stephen Davis (son); Luke Davis (son); Joshua Greene (grandson); Carl Davis (brother); Fred Davis (brother); Elmer Davis (brother); Nellie Skirvin (sister); Mary Sciscoe (sister); Ruth Pinkston (sister); and his parents. He is survived by his children and their spouses: JoAnne (Joe) Greene of Solsberry; and, Jennifer (Eric) Walker of Indianapolis. Step-children: Michelle Hays (Ronnie) Lattimore of Summerville, SC; and, Matthew (Laura) Hays of Indianapolis. Grandchildren: Courtney (Robert) McDonald of Lafayette, Colorado; Chelsea (Andy) Patterson of Oregon, Wisconsin; Heidi (Joe) Siler of Indianapolis; Joshua Walker of Indianapolis; Krista Davis of Bloomington; Alisha (Moses) Thacker of Bloomington; Carson (Brooke) Lattimore of Cincinnati, Ohio; Erin Lattimore of Charleston, SC; Abby Hays and Corrine Hays of Indianapolis; Sierra Davis and Levi Davis of Bloomington and 15 Great Grandchildren (with two more due this Spring). Other survivors include special niece Anita Davis Paynter, sister-in-law Brenda Vandever, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Paul was a graduate of Bloomington High School and was a Navy Veteran of WWII. ; He retired from the Bloomington Police Department. He also worked as a Monroe County Probation Officer in the youth division; Indiana State Board of Animal Health; and Monroe County Courthouse.
Paul never met a stranger and loved everyone he met, especially babies. God, family and friends were the most important things in the world to him. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched throughout his 93 years.
