Paul “David” Grant, 81, of New Whiteland, Indiana, passed away surrounded by loved ones at his residence on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
David was born on May 12, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Robert Lee Grant & Betty Louise (LaPorte) Grant.
David proudly served in the United States Army. He was employed by Contacts Metals & Welding as an estimator and later worked as a forklift operator at Mitsubishi Motors for three years until his retirement at age 62. In his free time, David enjoyed reading, watching his favorite Hallmark and TCM movies, and adding new pieces to his Christmas village and diecast model car collections.
David is survived by his wife, Judith (Brown) Grant of New Whiteland, Indiana; his two children, Robert David (Peggy) Grant of New Whiteland, Indiana and Laura Lee (Jerry) Grant Wright of Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his brother, Charles Grant of Mooresville, Indiana; his four sisters, Sharon Pope, Sandra Cradic, both of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mary Jane Pesek of Illinois, and Robin (Mike) Neibler of Indianapolis, Indiana.
David was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Ann (Thurston) Grant; his son, James Gilbert Grant; his granddaughter, Jessica Jo Grant; his parents, Robert & Betty.
