Paul Chavez Martinez, a lifelong resident of Williams, was born on March 19, 1919 to his parents, Andres and Aurora Martinez.

He worked at Bellmont until he retired at the age of fifty. Early retirement gave him the chance to do what he loved the most in life, which was to hunt and fish. In the summer you could find him fishing at any one of the lakes around here, mostly Catarac and usually with a stringer full of fish, never giving away his secret bait.

Paul married his childhood sweetheart Beatrice Torrez who he shared his life with for sixty-eight years. The two of them had three children, Paul Jr., who passed away at the age of sixteen, Debbie who lives in Kingman with her husband Jim McCain, and Paula who lives in Williams with her husband Rob Puga. Paul has five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He also leaves behind a sister, Mary Martinez, who lives in Cottonwood. Paul was a great husband, father and grandpa, he will truly be missed.
