Willimantic – Paul Callahan Gadle, 89, formerly of Norwich, died on Monday May 4, 2015, at St. Joseph Living Center in Willimantic. Mr. Gadle was born in Norwich on June 17, 1925. He was the son of the late Dr. Paul Francis and Minnie (Donavon) Gadle.
Mr. Gadle was a graduate of St. Patrick Cathedral School, Norwich Free Academy, the University of Notre Dame; he also attended the University of Pennsylvania. Paul worked for a short time in the library at the University of Notre Dame. He was a scholar and enjoyed music.
Paul was a devout Roman Catholic and a communicant of St. Patrick Cathedral and Saints Peter and Paul Churches in Norwich.
Surviving is a sister Marygrace Tanner of Orlando, FL; a nephew Francis Paul Tanner and his wife Marcie Lynn, their children Erin Lynn and Benjamin William Paul Tanner all of Fredericksburg, VA; and several cousins in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
