Paul was a huge loving, giving, generous man that leaves a huge hole for all that knew and loved him. Paul was a one of a kind and the world will never be the same without him.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Suzy, his sister Terri Smith, brother Brian Mey, Aunt Faye Bryant and stepmother Beverly Mey, son Cody Mey and his wife Tiffany, stepchildren (although he would never call them “step”) Shannon Jones and her husband Jeremy, Bret Johnson and his love Stephanie. He also leaves behind his beautiful grandchildren Zachary, Andrew and Lillian Jones as well as two beautiful grandbabies on the way, Reid Atlee Johnson and Abigail Ann Mey. They may not get to meet him but we will make sure “Grandpa Pauly” always lives on for them.
Paul will be missed by his in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, step siblings and countless wonderful friends that he considered family.
Paul is predeceased in death by his father Arthur Mey, mother Joyce Morris, sister Brenda Yarborough, sister Melinda Mullinex and brother Larry Mey
Paul spent his career in the construction industry with last 18 years being in underground utilities with Young’s Communications which he considered yet more extended family.
We will honor Paul in a more intimate event with family and close friends at a later date when the world is a safer place.
