Paul B Amos “Bull”, 87, a resident of Faywood since 1973, peacefully completed his life’s journey at home Wednesday, August 3, 2011.

Paul was born September 4, 1923 in Crowder, OK to Arvil and Edna Amos. Mr. Amos served in the U.S. Army from July 17, 1943 – November 5, 1945. He was deployed to Northern France, Central Europe and Rhineland. He received a purple heart at the Battle of the Bulge.

He returned to Crowder, OK after his discharge and married Eula Amos on September 17, 1945 at Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Paul worked as a cowhand, farmer, and rancher while in Oklahoma. He and his family moved to New Mexico to stay in 1955. He retired from Kennecott as a dozer operator in 1986 where he was called “Bull”. He nicknamed everybody he worked with at Kennecott.

He has always been a farmer and rancher. He loved his animals, especially birds of all kinds. He was always an honest and fair man. A handshake was binding and the Bible was his Word. His last horse was Jitterbug whom he had to sell a few years back when he could no longer ride.

He was the best and most loving and faithful husband and father anyone could ever have. He will be in the hearts of those who loved him forever. May he walk in the green pastures of heaven until we meet him again.
