Paul A. Morel (Moe) 75, of Cumberland, and formerly of Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, died Saturday at Philip Hulitar Center. He was the beloved husband of Marcelle “Marcy ” (Jolicoeur) Morel. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Dolor and Emma (Paul) Morel. He was a 1956 graduate of Mount St. Charles Academy. Paul was a US Navy Veteran from 1956-1962 and served on the destroyer, the USS Yosemite. He was a drummer in the Navy Band and performed for President Eisenhower. He was a graduate of Johnson & Wales College, earning a degree in Business Administration . Paul was a general supervisor for General Motors for twenty five years retiring in 1989. He later worked for Eussie Press as a supervisor for many years.

He was the loving father of Gary P. Morel and his wife Suzanne of Woonsocket, Paul R. Morel and his wife Kristen of CO, Gail Raymond and her companion Norman Svendsen of Attleboro, MA, Karen J. Johns and her husband Edward of Webster, MA, and Kim M. Innis and her husband Marc of Woonsocket, and step daughter Lynne M. Gilpatrick and her husband Ted of Blackstone. He is also survived by his brother Henry P. Morel of Woonsocket, thirteen grandchildren and a soon to be great-grandchild. He was also the brother of the late Raymond Morel.
