Paul A. Langenfeld, 87 of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
Paul was born October 11, 1930 in Lansing, Michigan, son of Edward F. Langenfeld and Clara E. (Adams) Langenfeld.
He married Wilma Jean Peeples on November 26, 1954 and she preceded him in death on March 22, 2009.
He is survived by a daughter: Tammy Jackson and husband Ben of Orange Park, Florida; a son: Forrest Langenfeld and wife Julie of Centralia; two grandchildren: Kathy Langenfeld of St. Louis, Missouri and Andrew Langenfeld of Tel Aviv, Israel; two brothers and two sisters: Edward “Bud” Langenfeld of Centralia, James E. Langenfeld of Centralia, Barbara J. Frisk of Lakeville, MN and Jane G. Greene of Centralia; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Dorothy Klein of Centralia. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marian Heinrichsmeyer.
Paul served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a 1949 graduate of Centralia High School and attended Centralia Junior College. Karaoke was his love. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan for over 70 years. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.
