She was born December 11, 1937 in Danville, IN to the late Carl E. and Pearl (Mitchell) Nelson. Patty worked on the kitchen staff at DePauw University and was a member of the Fortville American Legion Post 391.
She is survived by daughters: Pam (Jon) Sears Bell of Indianapolis; Debbie (Jay) Sears Bell of Indianapolis; and Susie York; son Bobby York of Florida; brothers: Paul (Norma) Nelson of Brazil, IN; and Charlie (Terry) Nelson of North Carolina; and sister Donna Rabb of Hope, IN. Patty was preceded in death by her husband Doyle York; son Ronnie York; grandson Daniel Sears; and sister Margie Davis.
