Patty Bell Hettenhausen, 80, of Centralia, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020 at her home. She was born February 2, 1940 in Beaucoup, Illinois, the daughter of Samuel Wetzel and Elizabeth (Meyer) Wetzel. She married the love of her life, Elmer Hettenhausen, on June 13, 1959 in DuQuoin, and he preceded her in death April 7, 2008.
Patty is survived by her two children: Dwayne Hettenhausen and Linda Hettenhausen both of Centralia; two sisters: Bonnie Williams and husband Gary of Freeburg, Illinois and Beverly Meyer of Marine, Illinois; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents: Samuel & Elizabeth Wetzel, husband: Elmer Hettenhausen, and a brother-in-law: Bob Meyer. Patty worked at Little Fuse for 32 years until she retired. She enjoyed sewing, working on puzzle books, cooking, baking, and going camping. Patty was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan. She cherished the time she spent with her family.
