Patricia (Patti) Ann Schmitt Clark 59 was called to her eternal resting place on January 23, 2021. She was born in Hobbs, New Mexico on April 10, 1961 to Lawrence and Lucy Schmitt.
Patti’s first love was her family and friends. Patti had a zest for life. She would electrify any room by entering.
Patti is survived by her brothers Larry and Jo Gaye Schmitt of Hobbs, NM, Kenny and Susan Schmitt of Hobbs, NM, Marvin and Susie Schmitt of Austin, Texas and Tom and Kathy Schmitt of San Tan Valley, Arizona, as well as best friends Barbara and Rocky Tivis of Portales, New Mexico and her fur baby Shilo. She has numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Patti attended school at; St. Helena, Highland Jr. High and Hobbs High School; Class of ‘79. While there she was a Sub. Deb. She attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM. She was a member of the Zeta Tau Sorority and Little Sisters of Minerva.
Patti worked at Borden’s Peanuts, Randal Burnett CPA and lastly W.T.I. Trucking in Portales, NM. Her co-workers became her friends and family.
Patti returned to Hobbs after being diagnosed with cancer to be cared for by Kenny & Susan Schmitt, Jo Gaye & Larry Schmitt. She was a warrior and fought with all her might.
She said ‘I can do this because God’s got this.”
