Patsy Castanedo was born February 7,1930, to the late Charlie and Ruth (Crouch) Edmonds in Gurdon, Arkansas. They both impressed on her the importance of faith and family; two elements that she exercised all of her days. She was educated in Gurdon, Arkansas where she became homecoming Queen in senior high school, and after graduation, moved to Galveston, Texas to start her young life.
Not long after, she wed her husband Edwin Castanedo, to whom she was married for 63 years until his passing in 2009. They built a home, and family in Shreveport, LA, and eventually settled in their vacation paradise in Dunnellon, Florida. Along with being a mother, grandmother, and attentive hostess, Patsy became an LPN, and cared for others in that capacity as well.
Patsy is remembered around town for her style, knowing how she liked things, being a lady with southern wit, and raking in winnings in her local bridge club. She was a devout member at St.
