Patsy Irene Barnes passed away suddenly at the age of 63, and left her earthly home while enjoying a camping trip at Baker City, Oregon on June 28, 2011.
Pat was born January 24, 1948 in Ava, Missouri to Ellis Clyde Kelly and Bonnie Marie Mahan Kelly.
At an early age, her family moved from southwest Missouri to eastern Oregon and Pat began attending many schools in the valley, where her father could find work. The family’s last moves placed her at Vallivue High School and Notus High School.
In 1964, she met Richard (Dick) Barnes at Vallivue and they became inseparable friends. They married on October 25, 1965 in Caldwell and lived there for a few years. In 1966, their son, Richard L. was born, followed by their daughter, Glenda in 1967.
Pat, and her family, moved into their new home, near Greenleaf, in 1977 and had resided there ever since.
Pat had an avid love for reading, as well as quilting, crocheting, cross word puzzles, camping out, dancing and playing card games with her relatives.
Pat is survived by her husband, Dick Barnes; children, Rich (Toshia) Barnes and Glenda (Mike) Baldner; her mother, Bonnie Barnes; a brother, Robert J. (Karen) Kelly of Wilder; a sister, Ellen (Everett) Stotts of Sheridan, WY; and 7 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and her youngest brother, Ray Kelly of Springfield, MO.
