Patsy Hill Nowell passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Patsy and her twin sister, Peggy, were born December 6, 1945, to Roy and Lizzie Hill.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Charles, Cecil, Buddy, and Bobby; sisters Louise Corkrin, Margie Hosmer, and Gladys Herring; and son-in-law Gary Robinson.

Patsy leaves behind her husband William “Skip” Nowell; daughter Wendy Robinson; and son Richard Nowell (Michele).

While she loved her children, her grandchildren were the light of her life. Her granddaughters Taylor Fitts (Jordan), Tori Robinson, and Emily Robinson and grandsons Alexander Nowell and Graham Nowell were her pride and joy.

In addition, Patsy also leaves behind her best friend and sidekick, the person who has known her longer than anyone, her twin sister Peggy Hill Harbin.

For the last four years she doted on and loved her precious dog Abby, who misses Patsy terribly.

Patsy also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Patsy was an active member of Harvest Church where she will be missed by her Sunday school class, Women’s Ministry, and any occasion that involves decorating.

Patsy retired from the University of Alabama and volunteered with the DCH Auxiliary. She taught crafting to various groups and friends, and attended as many events as she could that involved her children and grandchildren.

Patsy was sweet, kind, and loving, but she wasn’t fancy; therefore, the family asks that guests dress casually and comfortably.
