Patrick (Pat) Lee Jamieson, 78, died Thursday, April 21, 2016 after a brief illness surrounded by his family. Pat was born on July 21, 1937 to Thomas Lee Jamieson and Evelyn (Chris) Jamieson-Voigt in Taft, CA. He graduated from Taft Union High School in 1955 and attended Fresno State University before joining the United States Air Force. Pat greatly enjoyed his time in the Air Force working with Strategic Air Command stationed in Paris, France and toured Europe extensively. He frequently reminisced about his time overseas and missed the smoky corner cafAC.s in Paris and the beautiful mountains of Interlaken, Switzerland. After returning to the States, Pat began working with his father and grandfather, Fred Jamieson, at a produce company in Bakersfield. He worked in several industries before settling on safety where he was a Safety Manager for Gene Watson Construction for over 20 years. After moving back to Taft in his 50’s to care for his mother, Pat reconnected with his high-school sweetheart Anita (Hanna) Jameson and they were married on April 19, 1991. Pat had many passions; he was a staunch Republican who enjoyed a good debate, a strong believer in the Second Amendment, a lover of golf, cooking, the Miami Dolphins and especially gambling with frequent trips to Las Vegas and Indian Casinos.
