Patrick J. DeFure, age 96 of Holiday Heights section of Berkeley Twp. passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Community Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY Pat lived in Linden, NJ before moving to Holiday Heights 20 years ago. Pat served in the United States Army during WWII. Pat went on to work as a Fork Lift Operator for Monsanto Corp. in Kenilworth, NJ for many years.
He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2859, Linden, NJ and a member of the Italian American Club in Berkeley Twp. Pat was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie in 2008. Pat was survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Robin DeFure of South Seaside Park.
