NORWICH, CT- Patrick F. Lafayette, 66, of East Town St. passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family and golden retrievers. He was the beloved husband of Ann Marie (DeMontigny) Lafayette for 43 years. Born in Chelsea, MA, he was the son of the late Archie and Kathryn (Ford) Lafayette.
Patrick was the son of a Navyman, having lived all over the United States before settling in Preston. He was a graduate of Norwich Free Academy where he met lifelong friend and love Ann Marie. He was a 1972 graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he earned his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and a 1974 Graduate of the University of Maine, Orono where he received his Master’s in Environmental Engineering. As a licensed professional engineer, Patrick owned and operated Development Solutions, a private consulting firm.
