Patrick Eugene Bishop, 61, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Pat was born January 27, 1960, in Des Moines, IA, to Philip and Sue (Palmersheim) Bishop. He married Ellen Marek on March 13, 1982.
Pat worked as a Sales Representative for Boyer Petroleum later Lube-Tech for 26 years. He truly loved his family and made every chance to create a long-lasting memory. Anyone who interacted with Pat remembered him, whether it was at one of his many golf tournaments, attending his annual parties or simply sampling one of his famous scotcheroos. Pat was always the light of the room.
Patrick is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ellen; daughters, Brandie (Brett) Newberg of Norwalk, IA, Krystelle (Michael) Cortes-Ryan of Pleasant Hill, IA, Kelle (Chase) Uhlman of Des Moines, IA; son, Kyle (Lana) Bishop of Carlisle, IA; grandchildren, Hunter, James, Drew, Brenna, Garrett, Iselle, Lydia and Illiana; mother, Sue Bishop of Des Moines, IA; brothers, Philip (Francie) Bishop of West Des Moines, IA, Paul (Eva) Bishop of Altoona, IA; sister, Peggy (Chuck) Croat of Norwalk, IA; his longest best friend, Bill Stotts; his golfing buddies; as well as many friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Bishop.
