On Friday, March 13, 2020, Patrick Ben McEwen lost his two-year battle with cancer at age 63. Pat was born on May 7, 1956 in Atlanta, Georgia to Ben Camp and Francis Jurelle (Bolton) McEwen. He graduated from Campbell High School in 1974. Pat was an employee of Owens Corning in Fairburn for 41 years and held the position of Utilities Group Leader until his retirement in 2017. On December 31, 2010, he married Glenna Stapleton. Pat enjoyed spending time with family, riding his Harley-Davidson, traveling with his wife, and eating at Texas Roadhouse and The Varsity. Pat was preceded in death by his father, Ben, and his mother, Francis Jurelle. He is survived by his wife, Glenna Stapleton-McEwen; his sisters, Susan (McEwen) Ray (husband Thomas) and Marilyn (McEwen) Hamblen (husband James); his daughter, Felicia McEwen; his stepsons, Terry Stapleton, David Stapleton (wife Yige), and Michael Stapleton (wife Faith); his granddaughter, Aubree; his grandsons, Aaron, Nathan, Bailey, Tyler, Beau, Brysen, Lincoln, and Everett; and his nieces and nephews.
