Patricia L. Tobin, 77, of Centralia, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at her home.

She was born March 29, 1943 in Essex, Missouri, the daughter of Floyd Carpenter and Nora Laveta (Ham) Carpenter.
She married Leroy Tobin on October 19, 1971 and he survives in Centralia.

In addition her husband of 49 years, Leroy Tobin of Centralia, she is also survived by a daughter: Mary Lockett of Anna, Illinois; 9 grandchildren: Brittanie, Cory, TJ, Brenden, Machenze, Jacob, Adrien, Ethan and Nicholas; five great-grandchildren: Brylan, Benson, Brielle, Riley and Landon; a brother: Jim Carpenter of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents: Floyd and Nora Carpenter, a daughter: Amy Tobin, a granddaughter: Emily Perrin, a sister: Marie Richmond and husband Norman, and two brothers: Charles and wife Lisa Carpenter and Donald and wife Barbara Carpenter: sister -in- law Fay Carpenter.

Patricia was an assistant at Penniman Elementary School in Cahokia for 4 years. She was an active member for many years at Bera Temple in St. Louis where she was involved in the choir along with the bus ministry and the nursery. She was also a member of Abundant Life Church in Cahokia. She enjoyed solving puzzles, playing BINGO and connecting with family and friends on Facebook. Most of all, Patricia loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
