Patricia Lois Moran Stimac, 80, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, formerly of Akron, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She was born on October 26, 1935 in Akron, Ohio, to the late Robert Moran and Beulah Louise Brickels Moran. Patty grew up in Akron, Ohio and graduated from John R. Buchtel High School in the Spring of 1953. Patty then attended Kent State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Patty was a member of the Delta Gamma fraternity, and was the homecoming queen her senior year. Patty met her husband of almost sixty years, Robert Mathew Stimac, while attending Kent State University, they were married and started their life in the United States Air Force. Patty moved all over the world with her husband and family, and eventually settled in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, in 1974. Patty worked at Westwood Retirement Center for over thirty years as the Director of Marketing.
Patty was active in the community, notably the American Association of University Women, Fort Walton Beach Panhellenic, and the Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Mathew Stimac; her daughters, Susan (Bill) Harrop, and Sarah (Justin) Japour; her grandchildren, William, Molly, Jack, and Mary Greely; her siblings, Thomas Moran and Jeri Moran; and a nephew, Robert Moran.
