Patricia Frederick, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 25 2024 at her residence in Suffolk, Virginia. She is predeceased by her father, Ashton Joseph “Pete” Scallan; mother, Allie Ruth Scallan (Lane); and her brother, James “Jimmy” Charles Scallan.Pat was born in Beaumont, Texas but grew up in the Derby coal mining camp in Big Stone Gap, Virginia where she graduated from Appalachia High School. After living in Northern Virginia for two decades, she moved her family to Portsmouth, Virginia. She earned her Associate degree from Tidewater Community College and her Bachelor degree from Norfolk State University. Pat was employed by Childrens Hospital of the Kings Daughter as the Operations Scheduler for almost 30 years.Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Robin Ann Sieber and Deidre “Dede” Renee Gould (Bill); son, Alvin Gene Frederick II (Jaime); granddaughter, Jessica Lynne Sieber; grandsons, James “Jamie” Ashton Sieber, Patrick Ryan Gould and Matthew Taylor Gould; great-grand daughter, Ashton Nicole Sieber; sister, Judy Ann Scallan; and brother, Ashton Joseph Scallan, Jr.
