Patricia Rodgers Age 84 of Owosso passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility – Pleasant View.Funeral Services will be held 5:30pm Thursday September 20, 2018 at Nelson-House Funeral Home Owosso Chapel.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3pm to the time of service.Patricia was born October 8, 1933 in Manitowac, Wisconsin; the daughter of John and Mary (Stepman) Murphy.She graduated from Oconto High School.Patricia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Secretary Association. She loved traveling, bowling and spending time with her family.She married Melvin Rodgers in Oconto, Wisconsin on April 11, 1953; he predeceased her on April 26, 2013.Patricia retired from Indian Trails after 40 years of distinguished service.Patricia is survived by her daughter-in-law, Dianne Rodgers; grandsons Stephen (Kristen) Rodgers and Joseph (Jynel) Rodgers; great-granddaughters Sophia, Arlee and Beatrix; sister Mary Jessogne; sisters-in-law Ceil Murphy, Sandra Murphy and Phylis Murphy; brothers-in-law Richard Medd and Charles Pollock; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.She was predeceased by her husband Melvin; her son Michael Rodgers; parents John and Mary; sisters Yvonne Medd and Marge Pollock; brothers Bill Murphy, Jack Murphy, Michael Murphy and Gerald Murphy and brother-in-law Russell JessogneIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Patricia’s great-grandchildren’s college fund.
