Patricia (Patty) Joan Cosand
Patty Cosand, age 76, of Crestview, Florida, slipped her earthly bonds and passed to the Lord on February 11, 2015. She was born in Bloomington, Indiana on July 31, 1938 to the late Joseph and Effie (Sullivan) Wagoner.
Patty graduated from Shortridge High School in 1956. During her life as an Army wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Patty worked as a Dental Assistant for over 20 years in civilian and Department of Army dental offices. She loved to travel and spend quality time with her family. In her younger years, Patty loved to paint using oil and acrylic paints. She was also active in the women’s social programs in the Army.
Patty is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles L. Cosand; their children, Deborah Sue Gard and husband Richard, of Kendallville, Indiana; Mark Leonard Cosand of Indianapolis, Indiana; her sister, Beverly Jane Betteridge, of Jefferson, Georgia; her brother, David Lee Wagoner and wife Sally, of Kendallville, Indiana, four grandchildren, Matthew L. Cosand, of Indianapolis, Indiana; Marissa L. Cosand, of Indianapolis; Heather M. Johnson and husband Derek, of Kendallville, Indiana; Jaime L. Giboo and husband Kenneth of Kendallville, Indiana, and great granddaughter, Kathryn Giboo. She had many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces.
The family thanks the many doctors, nurses and staff of the 96th Medical Group, Eglin AFB, for their care and support during her illness. They also thank the members of the Emerald Coast Hospice for their compassion and care.
