Patricia “Patty” O’Brien, age 80, of Parker, CO, passed away surrounded by her loving family August 14, 2018. Born January 19, 1939 in Youngstown, OH, Patty attended Ursaline High School in Youngstown, OH, graduating in 1955. Patty then attended college in Ohio. Patty worked from 1960 to 1980 as the Secretary to the President of Banks Street College New York. She was an active member of the Parker Senior Center and the Pace Center, acting as a line dancing teacher and choreographer. Patty was nominated for the Channel 7 News Everyday Hero Award in 2017 for being an exceptional volunteer. Patty was a loving aunt and great aunt.
Patty is survived by her nephews, Philip Kikel (Holly), of Belleville, IL, Noel Kikel, of Aurora, CO and Donald Grant Leeper, of Buena Park, CA; nieces, Laurie Boticke (George), of Aurora, CO, Hollie Kikel, of Aurora, CO and Cheryl Hendry, of San Clemente, CA; great nieces, Brittany Boticke, of Aurora, CO and Nicole Boticke, of Commerce City, CO; great nephew, Ian Kikel, of Belleville, IL and great great nephew, Julian Alge, of Aurora, CO.
Patty was predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth Kikel, Dolores O’Brien and Sally Leeper and by her mother, Theresa O’Brien.
