Patricia “Patt” May (Prue) Damiata, 87, wife of the late Louis R. Damiata and long-time resident of Cromwell, died Monday, April 23, 2018, at Middlesex Hospital.
Patt was born in Rockfall, CT on May 12, 1930, the daughter of the late Adelard and Blanche (Hudon) Prue. She attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Middletown and went on to work at E.I.S. Brake Manufacturing in Middletown, where she first met Louie. They were married in 1954, bought a house in Cromwell, and raised their family there.
Patt is survived by four sons, Robin Damiata of Colorado, Dean Damiata of Cromwell, Dann Damiata of Cromwell, and Brian Damiata of California, and by a daughter-in-law Keiko Damiata of California. She is also survived by three sisters—Dorothy Tyc of Rockfall, Virginia Konefal of Rockfall, and Lorraine Swenson of North Carolina and one brother, Robert Prue of Florida. She is predeceased by eight brothers—Arthur, Bernard, Leonard, Charles, William, Donald, Nelson and Tom Prue—and two sisters, Delores Prue and Eileen Day.
