Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Harris, 71, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the EAMC Lanier Hospital in Valley, Alabama.
Mrs. Harris was born on August 22, 1951 in Langdale, Alabama to the late Joe Judson Milford and Agnes Marvine Faulkner Milford. She was also preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years Norman Harris.
Pat and Norman both worked for the Lanett City School System. Pat worked in the cafeteria at Central Elementary School in Lanett and later accepted the position as the manager of the Long Cane Elementary School in the Troup County School System where she subsequently retired from.
In her younger years, Pat and Norman both enjoyed fishing and gardening together. Pat was an excellent cook, enjoyed working word puzzles to keep her mind sharp, and she absolutely loved the color “Red”.
Pat is survived by her son and his wife, Adam and Genie Harris; her brother, Joey Milford; grandchildren, Karen (Matt) Smith, Rachel (Colden) Moore; great-grandchildren, Noah Smith, Grant Smith, and Madelyn Smith.
