Patricia Celeste(Urmann) McMahon
After a courageous battle with CREST syndrome and then cancer, Patricia (Patsy) McMahon passed peacefully from this life to her true home with Jesus Christ, on Oct. 15, 2011, at St. John’s Hospital in Oxnard.
Patty was born April 7, 1949, in Burbank, Calif., to Walter and Lauralee (Grano) Urmann. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley, where she met Robert (Bobby) Walter McMahon, her husband of over 30 years. They were married in Port Hueneme, where they lived, worked, and raised their family.
She is survived by her father, Walter Henry Urmann of Clear Lake, Calif.; her loving daughters, Jeanette Marchais, spouse of Erroll Marchais, and Lisa Rose, formerly married to Senior Chief James Nelson; her step-children, Debbie (McMahon) Divine, Cindy (McMahon) Simmerson, and Robert Lewis McMahon; and seven grandchildren, Chaplin, Noah, Joshua, and Giselle Marchais, and Lily, Julia, and James Thomas Nelson. She was a loving big sister to Jane (Thompson) Bell and Laurie (Thompson) Wreesman, and little sister to James (Jimmy) Edward O’Neill, III. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and in-laws, who will miss her dearly.
Patty was a beloved wife and mother. She and Bobby built a successful commercial fishing business; he did all the fishing and she kept the books. As Jeanette and Lisa got older, she decided to go back to school and
became a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
