Patricia Maxene Sallee Nell, 86, of Galesburg, died at 1:55 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at Heartland Health Care in Galesburg.
Patricia was born September 2, 1925 in Springfield, the daughter of Floyd Sallee and Gladys Edwards Sallee Moklar. She Married James Eugene Nell, Jr. He preceded her in death in June of 1995. She is survived by a son, Patrick K. Nell of Indianapolis, IN; 2 daughters, Susan (David Dittmer) Minor of Galesburg and Kelly (Randy) Stone of Arizona; and a brother, Floyd Randy Sallee of Ohio. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Michelle (Brad) Smith, John (Julie) and James (Eve) Minor, Erik and Aaron Nell, Angela Larson, and Patrick, Rachel, Dean, and Mark Stone; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 niece and 4 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons, James Nell III and Michael John Nell; a sister, Shirley Orey; and brothers, Kenneth and Ronald Sallee.
Patricia was a professional comptroller for the state of Indiana for many years.
