Patricia Mary Alworden, 82, of 9180 Bayshore Drive, Gladstone, (Kipling Location), passed away Sunday October 29, 2017 at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba where she currently was residing.

Patricia was born November 9, 1934 in Gladstone, the daughter of Clifford and Georgina (Smith) Kalishek. She was raised in Gladstone and she was a 1953 graduate of Escanaba High School.

Patricia was united in marriage to John Alworden on June 22, 1957 in Gladstone. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past summer. John and Patricia raised their 6 children in Kipling where they built their family home. John preceded her in death on October 11, 2017.

In addition to her parents and husband, her brothers Mike and James, sister, Kathleen Seronko, sister-in-law, Genie Kalishek, preceded Patricia in death.

Patricia was a devoted and loving sister, mother, and grandmother. She was very proud of her family and especially cherished her time as “Grandma Pat” to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Patricia loved holidays, family get-togethers, spending time at camp and her grandchildren’s sporting events. Any chance to spend time with her family was extremely important to her. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, and traveling.
