July 5, 2020, we said a tearful goodbye to our mother, Gammie, sweetheart darlin’, sister, aunt and friend, Patricia Marion Rogers. Originally from West Branch, Patty called Kawkawlin, MI her home for the past 56 years. To this day she has had the best manicured lawn in the entire Village. Attention to detail and creative flair made her home a beautiful show piece. But more importantly, it was a warm and welcoming home; every neighbor kid played and swam there each summer. Patty worked for the USPS for 28 years. She was a dedicated mail carrier who made sincere personal connections with many on her route. Many will miss her Hallmark cards, as she never forgot birthdays or anniversaries. She believed in doing things right, a strong work ethic she passed to her children. She was quick witted, unassuming and always classy.
So many of us will miss her, especially Jack Chase, her loyal and loving companion of 35 years; her daughters, Kelly Coates (Ron Mindykowski); Kimberly Coates Beechum (Brian); grandchildren: Brennan Beechum and Lisa Glazier (fiancé), Kennedy Beechum; great grandchild, Bella Glazier; sisters: Ann Richardson and Jan Peter, nieces, nephews; and her great circle of friends including her lunch bunch girls and all of the snowbirds from Cyprus Bend, Estero, Florida. Patty was predeceased by her parents, John and Marion Rogers, and her brothers, James, Chuck and Rick Rogers.
At the request of Patty cremation has taken place.
