Patricia Louise French, age 86, died February 8, 2023, peacefully at home in Hagerstown, MD.
Patricia was born November 28, 1936, in Williamsport, MD. She was the daughter of the late Tom F. Drake and Virginia L. McElroy Drake.
Patricia was married for 50 years to the late Glenwood R. “Jack” French, who passed in 2003.
She was a 1954 graduate of Williamsport High School and a 1961 graduate of the Maryland Medical Secretarial School.
Patricia retired in 1991 from the Washington County Hospital after 37 years.
She was a member of Calvary Temple in Williamsport.
She was a lover of all animals and devoted most of her life caring for her cats. She was an avid antique shopper and collector.
She is survived by a brother, Thomas E. Drake of Southlake, TX; a sister, V. Gail (Drake) Lankford of Winchester, VA; a niece, Carolyn A. Lankford (James Woodside); a nephew, Carson W. (Skip) Lankford Jr. (Martha); a Great-Niece, Kari Lankford (Benjamin Stengel), Great- Nephew Cameron Krest, Great-Niece Kelsay Krest, and numerous other extended family members on both the Drake and French sides of the family.
Patricia wanted to recognize her Church Family and friends and neighbors who have given her so much support in her later years as she fought her courageous battle against cancer, especially her close friends and neighbors Carol Mongan, Teresa and Jim Bishop, and Cindy and Charlie Pope.
