Patricia Lee (Hall) Hughes, age 92, of Tipton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Pat was born on June 17, 1928 to her parents, Floyd Hall and Muriel Manch (Culbreth) Hall.
Pat was born and attended school in Terre Haute, IN. She married the love of her life, John “Pete” Hughes when she was 17 years old. He preceded her in death in May of 2013, after the two shared 67 years of marriage.
Pat held jobs through the years in retail; working for Lazarus and Sears. She was also an aide for Brownsburg School System. Pat’s favorite job/hobby was running J. Bob’s Creations in Nashville, Brown County, Indiana with her husband, Pete. The two created this unique shop that is still thriving, and bringing happiness to many. When Pat wasn’t busy tending to her family or working, you might have found her golfing, cruising, going on a wine tour, or gambling at the casino. Pat’s children describe their mother as being sweet in every sense of the word; with a fun-loving spirit and a great sense of humor. Pat and her husband were very generous folks, who were committed to serving the public and even more so committed to serving their family. Pat will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her!
Those left to carry on Pat’s legacy of love are her Children, Lynda (Larry) Myers, Sherrill (Barry) Gunn, Donald (JoAnn) Hughes; Grandchildren, Jeff Hughes, Jennifer Garner, Carrie (Steve) Gerdts, Jenni Gunn, Barry (Lesley) Gunn Jr., Michael (Heather) Gunn; Great Grandchildren, Zach Gerdts, Meghan Gerdts, Brayden Myers, Mary Garner, Austin Hughes, Emmalee Hughes, Elizabeth Gunn, Emma Gunn, Drew Gunn, Alyvia Gunn, Hallie Gunn; Great Great Granddaughter, Vera Gerdts, and several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Pat was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Grandson, Andy Myers; Sister, Mary F. Goodyear; and Brother, Donald J. Hall.
