Patricia Jo Spotloe 87, of Grafton passed away Wednesday March 17, 2021, at her home with her loving family by her side. Patricia was born September 17, 1933 in Oakland, MD, daughter of the late George Earl and Nettie Dorene Sturms Kerns. Patty married the love of her life Harley Spotloe January 4, 1955 who passed on September 10, 2014 spending over fifty-nine years together.
Patty graduated from Flemington High School. She was known for her delicious hot dog chili she made and sold at the Tygart Lake Marina for many years. She loved being at the lake and made lots of great friends while there. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved talking on the telephone. Patty loved her family and each one of them were very precious to her.
Patty is survived by one son, David “Mike” Spotloe and wife Karen of Simpson; one daughter Kimberly Spotloe-Henderson and husband Doug, of Philippi; six grandchildren, John “Eric” Cutright and Ashley, Karey Sell and Jeremy, Kristin Hodge, Amy Gregory and Jack, Tricia Poling and Ben, David “Mikey” Spotloe and Tamara; and special grandson, Matt Hodge; nine great grandchildren, Maggie, Jackson, Landon, Kimberly, Jason, Morgan, Gabriella, Abbigail, and Kaleb; one brother in-law, George Williams, numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to Patty’s husband and parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Flora Williams; and one brother Keith Kerns.
