Muncie – Patricia J. “Pat” Oxley, 81, passed away Friday, October 28, 2011, at her residence following brief battle with colon cancer.
Pat was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 10, 1930, the daughter of Claude and Irene (Grundy) Pickell, and graduated from Central High School in 1949.
Mrs. Oxley was worked for over twenty-three years with Wise Supermarket as in the Meat Department, and as a produce buyer, until her retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Gwyn Stewart, Muncie, and Alice “Jane” Guy, Muncie; a brother, John M. Pickell; a sister, Nancy Madigan; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and John Guy who was like a son to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 48 years, Robert C. Oxley; a daughter, Teresa Marie Oxley; two brothers, Robert and Richard Pickell; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Guy.
