Patricia “Pat” Irene Williams Maish, age 70, Anderson, Indiana, passed away October 5, 2010 at her home surrounded by family and friends after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born October 31, 1939, in Elwood, Indiana, the daughter of Charlotte and the late Eugene Williams. She was the oldest of 4 siblings. She graduated from Wendell Willkie High School, Elwood, Indiana in 1957 and from the Indiana Business College in Anderson. She worked at Anderson & Loan until her first child was born. Then, for the next 20 years, she relished as a homemaker and caring for her family. After her children were raised, she went back to work at First Savings and Loan Association of Central Indiana.
Later, she went on to work for RMA in Anderson retiring in the year 2004. Every where she worked, she touched the lives of many and formed strong friendships that sustained through all the years. Pat will be especially remembered for the many years she volunteered at Shady Side Little League in various positions. She dedicated countless hours and days to developing the boy’s baseball and girl’s softball programs and along the way, she developed friendships that lasted her lifetime.
Survivors include her three children; Carol Bryan Niksch of Lowell, Indiana; Karen Dan Johnson of Winter Springs, Florida, and Jeffrey Maish of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Hunter and Peyton Niksch; mother, Charlotte Williams of Elwood, Indiana; brothers and sister, Michael Fran Williams of Elwood, Indiana, Kathleen Williams of Klamath Falls, Oregon and Stephen Ruth Williams of Noblesville, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Williams. Pat will truly be missed by her family and friends.
