Patricia Helena Smith was born on September 24, 1948, in Durango CO., to Gene and Darlene Simpson.
Patricia was a true hippy chick. Her philosophy was live and let live. She genuinely cheered for all of us to win. She loved all animals big and small (particularly cats) and she is now reunited with her beloved Oreo cat.
She loved the outdoors, antiques and a very simple life. The small things made her happy. Janice Joplin was her favorite singer, but she also rocked to Guns N Roses.
She rode horses when she was young and rode motorcycles when she got older.
She instilled in my brother Billy and I to be kind, honest, generous and not sweat the small stuff. She always knew what to tell us in a difficult situation.
Even when her health started declining, she continued to do nice things for people in the background.
She was my mentor, my best friend and my running buddy and I will miss her terribly. She is survived by her son Billy Smith of Durango Colorado, myself Anna Kosh and Husband Rocky Kosh of Flippin Arkansas and a lot more family and friends that I am not going to mention as explained above. I am truly honored that she was my mom.
