Patricia Hoffmann Malone, 89, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away on February 26, 2017. Patricia was born September 15, 1927, in Louisville, KY, the daughter of William and Sarah Hoffmann. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1945, and married Albert C. Malone, Jr. in December of 1946. They were married for 66 years.
During 21 years as the wife of an active duty Army officer, Patricia lived and traveled all over Europe, serving multiple tours in Germany, as well as tours in Washington, D.C., Pacific Grove, CA., and Tampa, FL.
“Pat” was always a model of style, grace, and generosity. She was passionate about her family, her faith, politics, her community and the arts. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Albert C. Malone, Jr. Together they had four children, J. Michael Malone and his wife, Pamela (Elizabethtown, KY), Neal Patrick Malone (deceased), Jane Francis Malone (deceased) and Julie Malone Gaul (Orange Park, FL). Patricia is also survived by four grandchildren, Kevin Malone (Cincinnati, OH), Kelly Malone Rabinowitz (Versailles, KY), Sean Malone (New York City, NY) and Emma Gaul (Orange Park, FL) and six great-grandchildren.
