Patricia Gutierrez, 65 of Bayard passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 1:30 pm on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Baca’s Funeral Chapels, led by Father Martin Okonkwo of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Cremation will follow. The Rite of Committal and inurnment will be at 10 am on Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Bayard Cemetery.
Patricia was born December 30, 1956 in Silver City to Manuel Morales and Esperanza Mendoza Hartl. She was raised by her grandmother, Clementa Morales, and aunt, Jesse M. Torres. She attended and graduated from Western New Mexico University. She and her husband Enrique owned and operated their own construction company in Hawthorne, California before coming back to Silver City. Patricia loved to dance and was an accomplished Salsa Dancer. Her greatest love though was her children and grandchildren. Patricia will be greatly missed.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Enrique; son, Darren Gutierrez; daughter, Jessica Gutierrez; four grandchildren, Andrew Gutierrez, Ava Gutierrez, Zachary Jaime Gutierrez and Issac Huerta; sisters, Ramona, Georgia and Catherine. Patricia was preceded in death by her son James Gutierrez.
