Patricia Gomez Saborio, 62, was called home to her Lord God on July 27, 2020 in Edinburg, Texas.
Patty as she was affectionately called by her family was born on August 11, 1957 in Silver City to Pedro O. Saborio Jr. and Socorro Gomez. She was the fourth of five children and was raised in Santa Rita and North Hurley. Patty helped her family at a small restaurant next to the Penjamo in North Hurley. She was a very shy girl but she loved to listen to music and dance and boy could she dance. Patty loved ice cream and didn’t matter what flavor it was. She attended the Cobre Consolidated Schools and in 1975 she met and married Crispin Fierro, Sr. They made their home in Hurley and then moved to Columbus, NM and raised five children.
Patty is survived by her children, Christina Fierro, Micaela Fierro (Ubaldo Caro), Marisol Fierro, Crispin Fierro, Jr., Patricio Fierro and Socorro Fierro; the father of her children, Crispin Fierro, Sr.; sisters, Melinda Gonzalez (Alfonso), Natalia Saborio (Ross Lucero), Rose Norero (George); 16 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews and her little dog. She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro in 2000; mother, Socorro in 1991; brother Manuel Saborio Sr. in 2004; sister from the heart, Beda Saborio in 2019; In-laws, Emeterio and Blasita Fierro.
